We'll tell you as soon as tickets go on sale:

The Globe Theatre, founded by Sam Wanamaker, is a faithful reconstruction of the Elizabethan playhouse. Now, a second part of Sam’s great dream has been realised. Beneath the theatre is the vast UnderGlobe where every aspect of Shakespeare’s work is brought imaginatively to life using a combination of modern technology and traditional crafts. Explore Bankside, the Soho of Elizabethan London, follow Sam’s struggle to recreate an authentic Globe for the twentieth century and beyond, and take a fascinating guided tour of today’s working theatre.

The Rose Theatre was built in 1587, 12 years before Shakespeare's original Globe. It was in the heart of Bankside, an area rich in attractions of a dubious nature, including brothels, gaming dens, bear baiting arenas and taverns. Shakespeare probably worked at The Rose as an actor, and he staged his early plays there. The Rose also staged premieres of plays by Christopher Marlowe, Ben Jonson and Thomas Kyd. A visit will bring to life Elizabethan Bankside, Shakespeare and his contemporaries in an exciting and stimulating theatrical experience, quite unlike any other.

Explore the life of William Shakespeare at the Globe Exhibition. Boasting an authentic reconstruction of the famous playwright's open-air playhouse first built in 1599, the Globe includes an inspiring theatre tour and the world's largest visitor experience devoted to The Bard!
